Black Music Honors, Premiering In June, Is A Powerful Tribute To The Rich Legacy Of African-American Music, Timed To Coincide With Black Music Month Featuring a Salute To The Late Bobby Caldwell’s Soulful Legacy Transcending Racial Boundaries.


The late Bobby Caldwell will be recognized with a special salute for his over 25-year career as an acclaimed in-demand songwriter and soul performer. Other honors for the celebration include Music Innovator Icon tapped to be received by Hip-Hop superstar Missy Elliott; Urban Music Icon to be presented to girl group SWV; R&B Music Icon awarded to singer-songwriter Evelyn "Champagne" King; Legends Award snagged by R&B/Soul crooner Jeffrey Osborne; and Gospel Music Icon set to be received by gospel trailblazers The Hawkins Family.

 

The dynamic duo of Grammy-winning artist LeToya Luckett and acclaimed comedian DeRay Davis return as co-hosts with their infectious charisma and electric energy. The televised tribute will debut on the Stellar Network TV June 3 with national broadcast syndication starting June 10 - July 2 and an airing on Bounce TV June 19. The 8th Annual Black Music Honors is presented by Procter and Gamble. Sponsors include AT&T, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, State Farm, Verizon and Walmart. Reckless Rhymacide (Kelvin Coe) is a rap/hip hop artist and songwriter from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the biological brother of hip hop artist Loc Rhymacide (Anthony Coe). He began rapping in elementary school. His biggest musical influence was his cousin, producer Carlton Hart ($ir Hart). He recorded his first EP Young Black Males in the early 2000’s. His follow up LP Greatest Stories Ever Sold wasn’t released until several years later. Both projects earned him regional success in the Midwest, and opportunities to open up for artists such as Twista, Coo Coo Cal, and Lil’ Flip. Recently, Reckless Rhymacide Released a film comprised of all of his music videos titled Seeing Is Believing. Screening was at Kan Kan Cinema In indianapolis. Chances are you’ve seen people wearing Rhymacide t-shirts around Indy and the midwest.

(CHICAGO) July 19, 2022 The Stellar Gospel Music Awards celebrated its 37th year honoring excellence in Gospel music during an uplifting weekend of events, concluding with the live-taped ceremony on Saturday, July 16, at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by Stellar Award-winning artists Jekalyn Carr and Kierra Sheard, this year’s celebration will premiere Sunday, August 7 at 8 PM ET/PT on BET, BET Her, and BET International and will be syndicated in various local markets across the country between August 13 and September 11, 2022.


Pastor Mike, Jr. leads the list of winners with a total of six Stellar Awards, including Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Contemporary Male Artist of the Year, Contemporary Album of the Year, and Urban/Inspirational Single or Performance of the Year, as well as Album of the Year for I Got It: Single's Ministry Vol. 1. CeCe Winans won three Stellar Awards, including Producer of the Year, Praise and Worship Album of the Year, and Praise and Worship Song of the Year, all tied to the album Believe For It. Jonathan McReynolds and Mali Music received three awards for their collaboration, Jonny x Mali: Live in L.A. EP, including Duo/Chorus Group of the Year, Contemporary Duo/Chorus Group of the Year, and Special Event Album of the Year. 


Other notable winners during the 37th Stellar Gospel Music Awards include Tamela Mann and Ricky Dillard, both of whom received two Stellar Awards, with Dillard also receiving the James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Toyota in recognition of his contributions to Gospel music as a renowned choir leader and recording artist. In addition, Two-time nominee E. Dewey Smith was named Best New Artist for his 2021 albums God Period and Let Praises Ring.


The 37th Stellar Gospel Music Awards features showstopping performances by Kirk Franklin, Erica Campbell, Maverick City Music, Marvin Sapp, Tye Tribbett, Le’Andria Johnson, Koryn Hawthorne, Brian Courtney Wilson, Jor’Dan Armstrong, Doe, Rudy Currence, Chrisette Michele, Darrel Walls, James Fortune and more. 


The Stellar Gospel Music Awards also bestows special honors to industry titans who continue creating a legacy of excellence that reaches and influences the masses, both within and outside of the Gospel genre. Six-time GRAMMY® Award-winning hitmaker and producer Aaron Lindsey received the Aretha Franklin Icon Award Presented by Aflac. Candi Staton also received the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legends Award, an honor that reflects her career of nearly seven decades as a music pioneer and a captivating Gospel music artist. 


Top nominees for this year’s ceremony included CeCe Winans, who led the field with nine nominations, followed by Pastor Mike, Jr., who received eight nominations. Tamela Mann, Jonathan McReynolds & Mali Music, and Todd Dulaney all received six nominations. Kelontae Gavin received five nominations. Maverick City Music, Israel Houghton, Ricky Dillard, E. Dewey Smith, and Jason Clayborn received four nominations each.

 

The 37th Stellar Gospel Music Awards is proud to be presented this year by AT&T Dream in Black. T-Pain Has (Fitness) Tips for Peloton -- All For One Surprise Appearance at PSNY

“Can I Mix You a Drink” Author and Rapper T-Pain may be known for his love of cocktails but this week he’s been the ultimate fitness motivator at Peloton! The rapper, singer, songwriter and producer made a special appearance at Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) during All for One (AFO) weekend, a music festival inspired event uniting the power of music, movement and community. 

 

To help celebrate special T-Pain themed classes, T-Pain hyped up lucky Members in Peloton Instructor Camila Ramón’s T-Pain Cycling class where he brought all the energy, motivating Members to move, no auto-tune necessary!  But, that wasn’t enough for the irreverent rap legend who also swung by Peloton Instructor Jess Sims' T-Pain Strength class complete with one of Sims’ signature “listening games.” 

 

For the T-Pain stans, the classes live on demand in Peloton’s class library, also available on the Peloton App, free to new Members for 30 days.

AFROPUNK is again teaming up with Twitch as the official livestream partner for AFROPUNK Brooklyn 2022. The upcoming Brooklyn festival is AFROPUNK's first event in its hometown since 2019, and the two-day show will air live exclusively on the AFROPUNK Twitch channel to a worldwide audience. AFROPUNK Brooklyn 2022 happens on September 10th-11th in Commodore Barry Park.

The Twitch broadcast for AFROPUNK Brooklyn will feature performances by artists including The Roots, Burna Boy, and Isaiah Rashad, as well as exclusive interviews and other behind-the-scenes content from the festival grounds. Fans tuning in virtually will be able to interact with artists in real time and participate in AFROPUNK's discussion panels. Twitch viewers can tune into the series during a custom segment within the AFROPUNK livestreams on Twitch. FX’s Atlanta’s fourth and final season premieres on Thursday, September 15 at 10pm ET/PT on FX and streaming the next day on Hulu.

Beyond the headliners, AFROPUNK Brooklyn brings a group of game-changing artists looking to make a statement at AFROPUNK. Notable big names on the lineup include Lucky Daye, Freddie Gibbs, Tierra Whack, and Earl Sweatshirt, who performs at his first AFROPUNK since reuniting with Tyler, The Creator and Syd at AFROPUNK 2016.

Prior to the festival, AFROPUNK will host two pre-shows on Twitch. Titled “HELLLOOO BROOKLYN!!!!,” the pre-shows will provide an inside look and first impression of what’s in store for AFROPUNK Brooklyn 2022. Peloton Announces the Return of All For One Music Festival, Aug 19-21

Peloton announced the return of its All For One (AFO) Music Festival, an annual community tradition taking place from August 19 through the 21. This epic three-day celebration will be bigger than ever, uniting the power of music, movement and community, and will feature an incredible line-up from 33 musical artists across Rock, Pop, Country, Dance, Latin, Hip Hop and more.

 

AFO will mark the official opening of Peloton Studios New York (PSNY) and Peloton Studios London (PSL) and will welcome in-studio Members for the first-time to take part in the live AFO classes! With a bigger line-up than ever before, Members will feel the collective vibration of this historic weekend whether participating IRL or at home. With 160 classes across 3 days, 54 instructors, 33 artists, 10+ disciplines (including Adaptive offering) and content available in 3 languages (English, German and Spanish), Peloton’s AFO event promises to deliver a jam-packed music festival weekend.
